Description: Castrol Alphasyn GS is a fully synthetic gear oil based on carefully selected polyglycol base oils and high thermal stability anti-oxidation, anti-rust, and extreme pressure additives. Alphasyn GS has superior properties compared to mineral-based gear oils, making it suitable for lubricating gears and bearings at high temperatures, especially in large mills and rolling machines.

Application: Alphasyn GS is particularly effective in the operation of worm gears at low speeds and high torques, helping to reduce pitting wear and extend the life of tin bronze worm gears. Alphasyn GS also helps extend oil service life, with high anti-oxidation capabilities at operating temperatures. Some equipment manufacturers even use Alphasyn GS throughout the equipment’s lifespan.
