Mobil Rarus™ 427 is a premium ashless lubricant designed for air compressors operating under severe conditions.
Features and Benefits
The use of Mobil Rarus 400 Series oils helps keep compressors cleaner and reduces deposits compared to conventional mineral oils, resulting in longer operating intervals between maintenance periods. Their excellent oxidation resistance and thermal stability allow extended oil life while controlling sludge and deposit formation. They also provide outstanding anti-wear and anti-corrosion protection, enhancing equipment service life and performance.

Applications
Mobil Rarus 400 Series oils are recommended for single-stage and multi-stage air compressors. They are especially effective in continuous high-temperature operation. The maximum compressed air temperature according to DIN 51506 is 220°C.
They are suitable for both reciprocating and rotary compressors, particularly lower viscosity grades used mainly in rotary compressors. The Rarus 400 Series is recommended for units with a history of oil carryover, poor valve performance, or deposit formation.
They are compatible with all metals used in compressor construction and with mineral-oil-compatible elastomers used in seals, O-rings, and gaskets.
Mobil Rarus 400 Series oils are not designed or recommended for use in breathing air compressors.
