Tribol™ GR 100-2 PD – High Performance Grease
Product Description Tribol™ GR 100 PD-2 (previously known as Longtime™ PD) is a lithium grease formulated with highly refined mineral base oil and enhanced with Microflux Trans (MFT) additive system. MFT technology provides optimal anti-wear protection and extremely low friction even under extreme pressure, vibration, shock loads, high or low speeds, and varying micro-surface finishes of friction surfaces. Under severe loads, MFT additives are activated, improving the frictional properties of surfaces through plastic deformation. The organic compounds in the reaction become part of the friction polymer system. Unlike conventional lubricants, the friction polymers formed by MFT are long-chain compounds with excellent lubricating and adhesive properties. This means that the load-bearing surfaces are reinforced and the hydrodynamic lubrication film is more easily maintained. This unique physicochemical reaction forms a micro-smooth surface that is not destroyed on friction surfaces.
Application Tribol GR 100 PD can be used for long-term lubrication even under the most challenging operating conditions such as extreme pressure, vibration, shock loads, and a wide temperature range (-35°C to 140°C) in heavily loaded rolling and sliding bearings. Typical applications include:
- Bearings in spinning and grinding machine spindles
- Motors with gear reducers subjected to shock loads
- Screens, woodworking machines, and support surfaces of printing plates
- Bearings with rotating outer rings and high stresses due to centrifugal forces, such as in wide strip mills and roll neck bearings in steel mills
- Bearings with variable or oscillating motion
- Spiral bevel gears and central lubrication systems
Tribol GR 100-0 PD and 100-00 PD are fluid greases used for lubricating gears, such as in cylindrical gearboxes and worm gears. Suitable for gear units without sealed oil housings, gears, and rolling bearings with grease reservoirs.
