Description
Castrol Aircol 299 – Refrigeration Lubricants for Chemical and Thermal Stability
Description: The Castrol Aircol 299 range of refrigeration lubricants includes two grades of highly refined mineral oils, specifically selected to provide exceptional chemical and thermal stability. These lubricants have low wax forming tendencies, ensuring low pour points.
Application: The Castrol Aircol 299 range is designed for use in refrigeration and air conditioning systems utilizing fluorocarbon refrigerants. These oils’ excellent low-temperature characteristics prevent the flocculent precipitation of wax, which can occur in high-performance systems using Freon refrigerants. In systems using R22, the critical solution temperature properties of these oils prevent oil/refrigerant separation issues within low-temperature circuits. For exceptionally low evaporation temperatures or systems without oil/refrigerant separators, synthetic base refrigerant oils may be preferred.
